After a fatal crash on Friday night that caused the death of two passengers from Eldon and injured two others on Highway 54 at Walnut Grove road in Miller County. Carol Elwyn was charged with multiple felonies, including two counts of felony involuntary manslaughter, felony assult second degree, operating a vehicle while intoxicated, and driving wrong direction resulting in a crash. Elwyn allegedly told investigators she had just come from work, which was later identified as Shawnee Bluff Vineyard. The leadership and staff at Shawnee Bluff Winery & Vineyard released the following statement Tuesday afternoon:
“Our hearts and prayers fo out to the Davolt and Delong families in the wake of the accident that took place on Friday Evening. Our leadership and staff are fully cooperating with the investigation, and are awaiting additional information about the cause of the accident. As a part of this community, we are saddened by this tragedy and are praying for all involved.” The details into the crash are still being investigated by law enforcement.
