Ferguson Sentenced to Probation for Child Abduction

A woman who admitted to abducting her own child and hiding him in a crawlspace in a home in Laclede County will serve five years of supervised probation. Aubrey Ferguson received a suspended imposition of sentence when she appeared in court Wednesday. She refused to return her son, Braedance Jones, to his custodial father. Authorities spent months trying to get information as to the boy’s whereabouts. Ferguson still faces a charge of child abduction in Laclede County. In that case, there’s currently a pre-trial hearing set for February 3rd with a jury trial scheduled for May 11th.
