State officials are honoring young men and women learning about careers in agriculture. It’s National FFA Week. Today is “careers in agriculture day” under the dome in Jefferson City, and more than 200 FFA students made the trek to the capitol to join the party. The morning kicked off with an annual tradition that saw Governor Mike Parson and Lt. Gov. Mike Kehoe arriving to work on John Deere tractors. Throughout the day students are hearing from representatives in the fields of ag business, ag mechanics, animal systems, food science, plant systems, and natural resources.
