The final kayak meet up of the year sponsored by the Lake of the Ozarks Watershed Alliance is this weekend. Donna Swall with LOWA says the meet ups are a great way to let those participating know how valuable of a resource our lake is.
The meet up begins at 8:30 Saturday morning. They will put in at the Whistle Bridge around 10:00 a.m. and should reach their destination some 11 miles away, the Ha Ha Tonka kayak steps, sometime around 4:00pm. This was the seventh year for doing the kayak meet ups.
