Fire Alarm Set Off At Camdenton High School After Furnace Kicks On

Local News Wednesday, December 16th, 2020

Students at Camdenton High School are fine following an early morning fire scare.

Officials say the fire alarms were triggered by a furnace heating element that had not been activated since last winter.

The amount of dust accumulated burned off, sending a burnt odor into the air and causing the alarm to go off.

The unit was inspected and no issues were found, so students were sent back inside to continue the school day.
