The cause of the fire at the Lodge of the Four Seasons last night is being called “accidental.” The Lake Ozark Fire Protection District responded to the alarm shortly before 8:30 Wednesday night. Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy smoke conditions in the main lobby of the hotel, according to Chief Mark Amsinger, and immediately requested a second alarm. Guests were evacuated. The fire was contained the flames to a fifth floor conference room, where it had apparently started in a closet. No injuries were reported. Hotel guests were able to return to their rooms shortly after 11:00. Amsinger says there was smoke and water damage to the atrium. Lake Ozark received assistance from Osage Beach, Rocky Mount, Sunrise Beach, Eldon, Gravois and Moreau firefighters, Miller County Ambulance and the Camden County Sheriff’s Department.
