It was a “Who’s Who” of fire chiefs and other ranking members of lake area fire districts and the Camden County Emergency Management Agency who were on-hand, Wednesday, to honor one of their own. At the center of attention during the meeting of the Lake Area Emergency Services Association was Osage Beach Chief Jeff Dorhauer who was recognized for his 30 years of service to the community and the emergency services association. Dorhauer was flanked by fire chiefs Kevin Hurtibise from Rocky Mount, Mark Amsinger from Lake Ozark, Mike Hufferd from Southwest, Joe LaPlant from Sunrise Beach and Scott Frandsen from the Mid-County district. Also on hand were Mid-County Deputy Chief Drew Stark, Mid-County Division Chief Rob Odenwald and Emergency Management Director and former longtime fire chief Ron Gentry. The recognition comes on the heels of Chief Dorhauer announcing his retirement which is effective at the end of December.
