Fire Damages Apartment / National Guard Office In Camdenton

An investigation is underway following a fire in Camdenton.

Official say the fire damaged the National Guard Office on North Business 5 this past Friday.

Mid-County Fire Chief Scott Frandsen says it happened in the upstairs portion of the building, which contained an apartment.

He says there was more smoke and water damage, than actual fire damage done to the building.

The renter was not home at the time of the fire.

The Missouri State Fire Marshal along with the Mid-County Fire Marshal and Camdenton Police are now investigating.
