A Lake area treasure has suffered serious damage after a fire earlier this week.
The Mid-County Fire District says they were called out to a second alarm fire at the Windemere Conference Center near Roach.
Once on the scene, firefighters found a building attached to the main dining hall was engulfed in flames.
That building ended up being a total loss.
Officials say 30 mile an hour wind gusts made it difficult to control the fire and other fire districts and a fire boat were called in for additional help.
Fortunately, firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to the main dining hall, which only received minor smoke and water damage.
