A late morning blaze on Saturday destroys a residence along State Road-D near Camdenton. Mid-County Deputy Fire Chief Drew Stark says, upon arrival, the single-story structure was well involved with flames showing from the roof and the back of the home. There were no hydrants in the area and water had to be shuttled in. It took about 45 minutes to bring the fire under control and there were no injuries reported. The Red Cross is working with the one occupant who was able to escape unharmed. The fire does not appear to be suspicious although it is being looked at by the State Fire Marshal’s Office. Personnel from Osage Beach assisted at the scene while Lake Ozark ad Sunrise Beach provided move-ups to cover any other calls received by Mid-County.
