Fire Investigations Underway Following Suspicious Fires In Phelps County

More fire investigations are underway in Phelps County, just outside of the Lake Area.

Fire officials in the city of Doolittle are investigating three to five separate fires, of which they believe were intentionally started.

At this time Fire Officials say they do have a suspect in mind, and the county Sheriff’s office is following up on that lead.

One of the fires spread to 150 acres of land just south of Rolla.

Another fire consumed more than 2 acres of land near the city of Newburg.
