October is fire prevention month, and though it seems we’ve heard the messages since we were in elementary school, it never hurts to go over it again. Sunrise Beach Fire Chief Dennis Reilly says it’s not always on the top of our minds.
Reilly says that they’ll hold open houses and reach out to the adults, but he said they routinely deliver safety messages to children for them to take home to mom and dad.
Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District will be holding a safety fair and open house this Saturday from 11-2. Meanwhile, Reilly says he always stresses three main safety tips:
