With the sound of dozens of fireworks Tuesday morning, 3-thousand pounds of explosives have loosened some ground at the construction site of a future industrial park in Lake Ozark.
The construction area sits behind some trees off Highway 54 and Osage Hills Road, not far from where MoDOT is working on a new interchange.
That’s Assistant City Administrator Harrison Fry. He and City Administrator Dave Van Dee say the work is partnership between the City of Lake Ozark and Macgruder Limestone, who collects the blasted rock to sell while leaving a smooth foundation for future construction.
Van Dee says the project will help the city become more competitive in attracting more companies to come to the Lake Area, which could also mean more jobs.
