An investigation into drug activity in Miller County has led to five arrests. According to Miller County Sheriff Louie Gregoire, an investigation involving his office and the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force led to a traffic stop Monday. Officers searched the vehicle and the driver, identified as Stefanie Cavanaugh, finding what they believe to be heroin. Later that night they served a search warrant at a home in Eldon and located more suspected heroin along with methamphetamine.
Stefanie Cavanaugh and Lenita Ginger are charged with delivery of a controlled substance. Edgar Walters, Jeffery Moad, and Kathryn Wilson are charged with possession of a controlled substance. Wilson is also facing a charge for possession of paraphernalia.
