Flags will be flying at half staff on Monday to honor former Missouri Congressman Ike Skelton. His funeral will be Monday in his hometown of Lexington at the Wentworth Military Academy and College. Skelton passed away on October 28th. He served in the US Congress for 17 terms. Governor Jay Nixon says lowering the flags helps to remember Skelton’s legacy and pay respects to a great American. Nixon issued the order last week for all US and state flags flown at state buildings in all 114 counties.
