Flood damages led to a gas leak in part of Camden County. The Southwest Camden County Fire District responded to the call around Baptist Street early Monday. When they arrived, they found what they described as major flood damage. A building there had collapsed and damaged a propane line at a neighboring building. While conducting flood assessments in the area they also found another home that had been damaged, cars had washed downstream, and Jack Burch Road was blocked by flood debris. Firefighters and area residents worked to remove the debris, but at last word, Jack Burch was still impassible because the flood waters had caused a washout. Anyone in the district with storm damage should contact the fire district at 363-5995.
