A Linn Creek horse rescue group is asking for the public’s help as they get ready to take in more than 50 horses. The Missouri Forget Me Not Horse Rescue and Sanctuary is receiving 57 horses from a farm in southwest Missouri that is going out of business. The organization’s president, Connie Hendrix, says some of the horses are malnourished and need medical care. Forget Me Not is already caring for about 30 horses. It takes about $100 per horse to get them ready to either be adopted or to go to a foster home. The Forget Me Not Horse Rescue and Sanctuary is in need of not only money, but also those willing to either adopt or to provide a foster home.
