Former Camdenton city police officer and Camden County deputy Leonard Wilson entered Alford pleas, Thursday, to sex-related charges involving juveniles. Appearing in an orange jumpsuit and flanked by his attorney, Wilson entered the Alford pleas to charges, in separate cases, of 4th degree child molestation and 2nd degree statutory sodomy. In exchange for the pleas, which do not admit guilt but do concede there was enough evidence for a conviction, a sentencing assessment was waived and all other charges at the local level were dismissed. Wilson was ordered to serve four years in prison on the molestation charge and seven years on the sodomy charge. The sentences will be served concurrently to each other and concurrently to his recent eight year federal sentence on a charge of possessing child pornography.
