Another high-ranking official has died as a result of his battle with COVID 19 in the city of Lebanon.
Officials say former longtime City Councilman Jim Davis passed away at the age of 69 Sunday night at a hospital in Columbia.
Funeral arrangements are now underway.
Last year, Lebanon Officer Kendle Blackburn died from his battle with COVID 19.
Blackburn was laid to rest in Mount Rose Memorial Park on January 2nd.
Jim is survived by, one son, Ryan Davis and wife Courtney of Ozark, Missouri; one daughter, Heather Bryant and husband John of Lebanon, Missouri; four grandchildren, Aidan, Tucker and Sawyer Davis of Ozark, Missouri and Isaiah Bryant of Lebanon, Missouri.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Jan. 21 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Lebanon with Pastor Matt Taylor officiating. Friends may come by the funeral home at their convenience through Thursday morning. Burial will be in Mount Rose Memorial Park. A memorial to the Gideon Ministry and been established and donations may be left at the funeral home.
The family has requested that all in attendance wear a mask.
