29-year-old Paul Hill of Rocky Mount, the now-former Miller County Sheriff’s deputy arrested after crashing his patrol car while allegedly high on meth, has been arraigned in Miller County Court on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance. Hill entered a plea of not guilty. Judge Kenneth Oswald recused himself from the case and a new judge will be appointed. Hill was ordered to return to court September 20th. The sheriff’s department fired Hill following the June 21st incident near Eldon.
