In a stunning turn of events former Osage Beach police officer Richard Calvino, who was slated to have a jury trial tomorrow as reported by KRMS news, has pleaded guilty to engaging in sexual acts with a minor this afternoon at the Camden County courthouse. The trial was set for Wednesday in Morgan County following a change of venue request by Calvino will no longer need to happen following his confessions to the judge. The case referred to events that took place during the 1980’s through the early 90’s. Calvino pleaded guilty to two counts, one of deviant sexual assault in the 1st degree with a victim age 14 to 15 and again deviant sexual assault in the 2nd degree with a victim age 16 to 17. Following his plea he was given a suspended imposition of sentence, 5 years of probation and will have to register as a sex offender as well as complete a sex offender class during his probation and parole and will not have to serve jail time.
