Former School Teacher to be Sentenced Thursday

A former school teacher accused of having sexual contact with at least two students will be sentenced Thursday. Mark Edwards was charged with two counts of sexual contact with a student, one count of statutory sodomy deviate sexual intercourse, and a count of third-degree child molestation. Two of the charges stipulate that the victim was under the age of 14. Edwards entered a guilty plea to one count as part of a plea agreement last November. The incidents occurred in July of 2017 and April of 2018 when Edwards was teaching in the School of the Osage district.
