Former Suspect in Murder Case Arrested on Methamphetamine Charges

A Kaiser man originally charged in connection to a murder case in Miller County is now facing new charges in a separate arrest. William Lucas had a charge of abandonment of a corpse dismissed in the shooting death of Columbia resident Aaron Brantley. Now he’s been arrested by the Highway Patrol. It happened Friday afternoon. The charges pending against him include possession and delivery of methamphetamine, and speeding by more than 10 miles an hour over the limit. Following his arrest, Lucas was taken to the Miller County jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.
