A former School of the Osage teacher is scheduled to be in a Miller County courtroom Monday to determine whether the case will go to trial. Mark Edwards is charged with one count each of statutory sodomy or attempted statutory sodomy and child molestation along with two counts of sexual contact with a student. The charges date back to April. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Monday. A motion filed for a bond reduction was denied in May and Edwards remains in custody on the charges on a $300-thousand bond.
