A former teacher sentenced to 20 years in prison for sex-related crimes involving a student is not done in court yet. Mark Edwards entered a plea deal, admitting to an allegation of statutory sodomy, and was sentenced February 14th. He still faces two additional charges stemming from a second case. Those charge were severed by the court and ordered to be heard separately. They are one count each of third-degree child molestation involving a victim under 14 years old and sexual contact with a student. At this time there are no hearings scheduled on that case.
