The former School of the Osage teacher charged with sex-related offenses involving at least one student will stand trial. With his attorney by his side, Mark Edwards was arraigned on Tuesday in Miller County Circuit Court entering a plea of not guilty. Edwards is charged with two counts of having sexual contact with a student and one count each of statutory sodomy or attempted sodomy and child molestation. All of the charges are felonies. Edwards has been held on a $300-thousand bond since being arrested. A pre-trial court date has been set for November 13th with a trial scheduled to begin on May 20th of next year.
