An ongoing investigation into fraud and identity theft activities in Camden County leads to one arrest and possible charges to be filed against three others. Sheriff Tony Helms says officers descended on the residence in Montreal attempting to locate a person of interest. After obtaining consent to search, officers observed what was believed to be methamphetamine and paraphernalia in plain view. The residence was secured pending application of a search warrant and the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group was contacted to assist. Reportedly seized from the scene: methamphetamine, hallucinogenic mushrooms, pills, marijuana and paraphernalia. One person, identified in courthouse records as 21-year-old Kevin Jason Kennedy of Montreal, was taken into custody. He’s charged with three felony possession counts and a misdemeanor count of possessing paraphernalia…he has since posted a $5-thousand bond. Three others, one male and two females, were released pending the filing of formal charges.
