An employee pay freeze remains in place in the city of Osage Beach. Last night the board of aldermen voted unanimously to postpone a lump sum employee pay hike for three more months. Alderman Ron Schmitt made the motion to postpone.
The board was presented with a 2%, 2.5%, and 3% lump sum hike, totaling ninety, one hundred twelve, and one hundred and thirty-five thousand dollars respectively. Many of the aldermen agreed that the city would have a better grasp of sales tax revenues after summer revenues were made available at the city’s third quarter meeting.
