If you thought your thanksgiving was a hard one to cook, just imagine feeding over 10,000 people. That’s what happened yesterday at Fort Leonard Wood as the annual thanksgiving dinner was served to members of the military. Each year the Fort serves it’s companies, battalion command teams, cadre and their friends and family members a thanksgiving meal. They also opened the doors to veterans and retired military personal. Sources say the 1,000 pounds of shrimp, four tons of turkey, 1,800 pies and 3,000 pounds of rib eye couple with other traditional foods made for a mighty fine meal. Plans are already underway for next year’s event.
