Future Route 54 Interchange Construction Enters Next Phase, Lane Closures Expected

Weather permitting, motorists in the lake area will begin to see single lane closures next week in the area of Route-54, Business Route-54 and Osage Hills Road as construction of the future interchange enters the next phase. MoDOT Central District Communications Manager Adam Pulley says that crews will begin making utility changes which will require closures along the roadway north of the Wilmore Lane and Union Electric Road intersection. The lane closure is scheduled to take place on Monday from 7am-5pm. Flaggers will be guiding traffic through the work zone. The overall project, including two new bridges along 54 and three roundabouts, is expected to be finished by December-2021.
