Depending on where you fill up, you may be noticing slightly lower prices at the pumps. The cost of gasoline has dropped nationwide for the third consecutive week. The national average for a regular gallon of gas stands at $2.80, down five cents from a week ago and seven cents over the last month. In Missouri, the average price per gallon is $2.50, but it’s slightly higher in the lake area. Camden and Morgan counties report an average price of $2.52 a gallon, while those who fuel up in Miller County are paying $2.59 on average. Despite the recent declines, gas prices are still way up from a year ago, when the national average stood at $2.46.
