The Gravois Fire Protection District is looking at major budget issues going into the New Year. Fire Chief Ed Hancock told KRMS news that they’re right at the edge and it’s not getting easier. He says their biggest problem is keeping staffed with such little money
The Chief mentioned possibly raising the taxes to cover the increase in service as seen in the past few years, or cut services, but that is something the board of directors will need to determine once a plan is laid out. Until then the Chief asks anyone who’s able to join as a Volunteer to keep the area safe.
