A golf tournament this weekend will benefit area residents with physical and developmental disabilities. The Alan Frederick Schien Memorial golf outing will be held Sunday at Osage National Golf Club. The event will benefit Easter Seals Midwest, which helps people with a wide variety of ailments including autism and muscular dystrophy. Kent Schien works with the organization and says this event will directly benefit local patients.
The event is named after Schien’s son, who passed away in 2016. The tournament begins at noon Sunday with a dinner and silent auction to follow.
