Cautious optimism seems to be a theme with the new year right around the corner for the Lake of the Ozarks Convention and Visitor Bureau. The CVB reports that taxable income and lodging taxes are both showing slight increases for the year. Executive Director Tim Jacobsen says the figures are not setting the world on fire but it is a good sign heading into 2017.
Jacobsen also says other key indicators of what could be a promising 2017 include a number of new businesses popping up and some major developments conducting feasibility studies here in the Lake Area. Of course, the bottom line for the economic success of the business community here in the Lake Area, depends largely on Mother Nature.
