Missouri’s made headlines recently with the news that more than 50,000 children have been dropped from the Medicaid program. The 9% decline is nine times the national average. During an appearance on “The Ozarks Today” on KRMS, Governor Mike Parson said it’s not necessarily a bad thing.
The Governor said the system has to be re-evaluated to make sure the people that need help are getting it.
Computer problems and glitches in the system used to redetermine eligibility have been cited as reasons for a large percentage of those dropped from the system.
