Governor Mike Parson held a press conference Monday to announce the official launch of the state’s “Clear the Air” youth vaping awareness campaign. It’s a response to the recent nationwide outbreak of vaping-related illnesses and deaths. The program was created last month when the Governor signed an executive order directing several departments to work together to develop a plan to educate and curtail the use of vaping devices among young people. The education campaign will utilize numerous social media sites, YouTube, and www.stopethevapemissouri.org. It will also provide fact-sheets for educators, parents, and medical providers. The goal is to illustrate the dangers of vaping and limit access to the devices for under age kids through stricter enforcement against those who sell the products.
