The Governor has declared a State of Emergency after flooding in the central and southern portions of Missouri turns deadly. According to the Governor’s report, one person has died so far due to the flooding in Pulaski County. After declaring the emergency, the Missouri State Emergency Operations Plan was executed allowing national agencies to work with local officials. Highway patrol has sent rescue helicopters to the flooded areas while marine operation troopers are on the way to help the citizens and businesses. The Governor is urging residents living in the flooded areas to be cautious and to head all warnings from the National weather service. There is still more rain expected throughout the next week in our forecast.
