In his original budget proposal, Governor Eric Greitens cut $8.6 million from the K-12 Transportation Funds. Now, after the state received around $60 million from recent lawsuit settlements, the Governor has decided to not only add the $8.6 million back into the budget, but he threw in a little extra. The fund will now receive $11 million for this year. Camenton R-3 Superintendent Dr. Tim Hadfield is hopeful that this shows progress for Missouri’s future.
Greitens also lowered the fund’s appropriation from $105 million for 2017 to around $69 million for 2018.
