A rule reversal by Governor Eric Greitens last week might have an effect on a case being heard by the U.S. Supreme Court. Governor Greitens reversed the rule preventing religious organizations from receiving specific state grants. Since 2012, Missouri has been fighting a lawsuit filed by Trinity Lutheran Church after the church was denied a grant to purchase repurposed rubber tires. The state says the Missouri Constitution barred them from using public dollars to aid religious organizations. The two sides are debating whether or not to proceed with the case. The court has requested a decision by both sides by Tuesday.
