Recreational boaters at the Lake of the Ozarks may soon get some assistance from the Missouri Department of Conservation and the U.S. fish and wildlife service for the purpose of properly disposing of on-board septic waste. A total of fifty thousand dollars in grants is being made available to Missouri thru the clean vessel act in order to construct or renovate pump out facilities at three marinas on Missouri’s largest lakes or rivers within the next three years. A total of over $16 million dollars in grants is being awarded to 21 states under the clean vessel act in order to support recreational boating and clean water.
