At their last meeting the Gravois Fire Protection District approved District Deputy Ron Anselmo’s request for bids in the newspaper for the repair of the district’s old G5 station that was damaged by a hail storm. The bids will continue until 4pm Friday August 16th at which point they will closing the bidding.
Also at the meeting they announced the new committee members for the ongoing negotiations with the firefighters union. Firefighter Jim Hynick, Captain Bob Forbes and Chief Ed Hancock are the new members. Finally the board approved Chief Hancock’s request to allow a Boy Scout troop to conduct meetings at the old G5 station meeting hall in Gravois Mills. The board approved allowing them to use the hall every Tuesday evening except the third Tuesday in which the hall is reserved for Crime Watch meetings.
The next meeting of the Gravois Fire Protection District will be on Monday, August 5th at the main station on Route O in Laurie at 7pm.
