The Gravois Fire District will be on the receiving end of a financial boost after a tax issue was approved at the primary ballot boxes on Tuesday. Chief Ed Hancock says he was relieved when the final numbers were calculated and announced.
Passage of the issue will allow for the Gravois Fire District, in time, to add some firefighters, improve response time and lower it’s I-S-O rating which will translate to lower insurance rates for district patrons. The tax issue was approved in MorganCounty by a 627-503 margin and 197-112 in Camden County for a combined total of 824-615.
