The Village of Gravois Mills board of trustees is proposing a new ordinance that would require all of the villages sewer and water services be metered. This would without a doubt ensure fair rates for all residents basede upon usuage. As of right now all of the residents pay Gravois Arm Sewer District (GASD) as they operate and control wastewater treatment in town. There is no public drinking water system at this time. With the current situation as it stands the Sewer District bases its rates and rate structure on average levels prescribed by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources in conjunction with how much money is needed to pay back debt and operate.
