The Gravois Arm Sewer District has a customer collection rate of 97 percent and the district has never had to write off any accounts. Since May 2006 they have collected over 2 million in monthly sewer fees. The district has been operating in the black since the phase 3 sewer project, paying their bills, making reserve fund deposits, and they have more than $400,000 in the bank. According to board Chairman Dave Taylor, the stability is attributed to the increase in the number of customers connected in the phase 3 sewer project. Taylor says the next steps for the district is getting the phase 4 sewer project funding approved, which is expected to be minimal due to the existing infrastructure.
