There have been some recent developments regarding a local sewer project. In a special meeting, the Gravois arm sewer district board of trustees has approved the hiring of Schultz surveying and engineering to do the preliminary engineering report for the districts phase 4 sewer projects. Schultz surveying and engineering were the engineer’s for the district’s first project, the millstone and blue anchor project, and also for phase one, two, and three sewer projects. The district has applied for a grant to fund the preliminary engineering report to the U.S. department of agriculture rural development and the Missouri department of natural resources. In other business, the board approved accepting waste from the Westport marina and approved the purchase of a dissolved oxygen meter for the plant. The next meeting of the Gravois arm sewer district is scheduled for Monday, February 3 at 6pm.
