Election Day is two weeks away, but many Lake area residents have already voted. In Morgan County, over 700 absentee ballots have already been cast for the November 6th election, either by mail or in-person, according to County Clerk Cathy Daniels:
Based on the number of absentee voters, Daniels is projecting a voter turnout of 75-80 percent, about what it was four years ago:
Similar reports are coming out of the clerks offices in Camden and Miller counties. In-person absentee voting continues for another two weeks, until the day before the election, throughout Missouri:
The last day to request a mail-in absentee ballot is October 30th.
