Officials in Camden County will be meeting next week for another discussion on updates to the county’s hazard mitigation plan. It’s the second in a series of meetings designed to identify potential natural hazards and the risks they pose to the county. The overall goal of the plan is to put in place plans and mechanisms to help mitigate the damages that result from those disasters. Every county has an HMP and they’re required to be updated every five years. The next meeting to discuss Camden County’s plan will be held June 5th at 2pm at the Mid-County Fire building on Business Route 5.
