Could Ebola make its way to the Lake of the Ozarks? According to health officials, probably not. They say there is a low chance of the virus coming to Mid-Missouri but that doesn’t mean a zero chance. Doctors say the only way to get Ebola is to have direct exposure to somebody who actually has it thru contact with fluids of the infected person. Officials are slightly worried about the daily flights from Columbia Regional Airport that go directly to Dallas, but someone who would have been near the latest person found to be infected by Ebola would have to travel to Columbia for it to even reach the area. Health Officials are not sure where Ebola originated by think it may have started with primates such as apes and monkeys.
