A Lake Ozark woman whose young child suffered serious burns from hot water will be the topic of a hearing scheduled for Wednesday. Elizabeth Austin was charged with endangering a child resulting in serious physical injury, endangering creating substantial risk, and possession of methamphetamine after another young child allegedly pushed the injured child under a hot water faucet at bath time. A case review originally set for March was rescheduled after Austin admitted in court that she would have failed a drug test the judge wanted to administer. Austin was released on bond with the condition that she have no unsupervised contact with anyone under the age of 18.
