A recent visit to the lake from a notorious motorcycle club came with a hefty price tag for area residents. The Camden County Sheriff’s office has requested a budget amendment, citing the need to move $17,000 into payroll. That’s the money that Sheriff Tony Helms says he needs to cover the overtime pay owed to officers who put in extra duty during the Hells’ Angels annual sojourn. Several other area law enforcement agencies also had officers working overtime during the late-summer visit.
